Inter-College NLIU Environment Meet 2011 will commence on the 3rd of September. It will see the campus turning into a veritable kaleidoscope of people who not only compete in various events but also enjoy informal events and discussions.
Tentative Schedule for Events
3rd Sept at 9:00 am
1. Shipwreck
Individual Entry
Entry Fees: 100
Participants will randomly be assigned recognizable public figures (related to environment). They must argue and justify why they should be given the only remaining life jacket on a sinking ship.

2 .Extempore :
Individual Entry
Entry Fees : Rs. 100
RULES:
• Every participant has to pick up one slip. Each slip has three topics to speak on.
• Participant has to speak upon each topic for one minute.
• A bell will ring after every minute indicating the speaker to move to the next topic.
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:-
• Content
• Good Hold of Speaking
• Body Language
• Confidence
Participant can speak either in Hindi or in English.
3. Short Skit Competition - Street Play/Mad ad:
Maximum Team of 5
Entry Fees : Rs. 250 (per team)
RULES
• The play can be bilingual.
• Time limit: 25 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit. Please stay within the time limit as the lawns will be available only up till a certain time for the event.
• Selection of teams for the finals will be based on preliminary rounds and scripts.
• All play scripts should reach the Co-ordinator of street play by 27th Aug
• Teams whose scripts are not received by the specified time will not be considered
• Scripts sent maybe handwritten/ printed/ photocopied
• Illegible scripts will be disqualified.
4. Quiz :
2-member Team Entry
Entry Fees : Rs. 150 (per team)
RULES
• Two members per team.
• On the spot registration starts at 9:30 am
• Cross-college teams allowed
• You can also register your team by mailing us your and your teammate's name.
5. Weave a Story :
Individual Entry
Entry Fees : Rs. 100
RULE - In 2.5 hours, every participant shall be competing to write the best story out of a "fixed first sentence".
6. Tableau
Max Team of 5
Entry Fee: 250 (per team)
Students must depict an assigned scene/emotion/cause through a still set, ie. Participants are not allowed to move.
